Thanks so much to all those who volunteered at 4th Street Farms, Godman Guild, in Weinland Park, and at various sites all over the neighborhood! Here are just a few of the pictures from the community built at Roots & Roots:
At 4th Street Farms, volunteers started with a tour of the chicken coop and an picture at the mural.
There were a variety of projects at 4th Street. While some worked on Berry World containment, others pulled together the 4th Street Farms Pergola.
Godman Guild hosted lunch provided by Local Matters with announcements from the Columbus Foundations about newly funding housing exterior program opportunities and neighbors who benefited from the last round sharing how they got heating, roofs, siding, windows, and porch repair that helped them.
After lunch we checked out the work of earlier teams who cleaned up pathways, weeding, and putting down cardboard and wood chips.
And, then, we continuing on to check out work at Arawak. There is an impressive pile of brush in the background and a complete absence of litter, as well as significant headway on weeding, flowers and planting veggies! Team Arawak is rocking it!
Come stop by 4th Street Farms, Arawak, or any of the other sites throughout Weinland Park and check out the great work of Roots & Roofs!
Together, we can make a difference in Weinland Park.
