Save the date! The 5th Annual Roots & Roofs is Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 9:30AM-2:30PM.
Roots & Roofs is an annual beautification & housing event in Weinland Park that builds on many years of doing spring community clean-up events.
4th Street Farms has participated since 2011 and we are so excited to welcome the community again this year. Join us as we install trellis & seating in the pergola, attach an inspiring mural to the compost bins, connect signage to the garden fence, lay mulch & patrol for thistles.
Schedule for “Roots & Roofs” on Saturday, May 16 (gather at Godman Guild Association):
• 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Teams of volunteers plant flowers, prepare community gardens, and pick up litter.
• 12:30 to 1 p.m. – Lunch for volunteers.
• 1 p.m. – Brief program to thank volunteers and celebrate neighborhood improvements.
