Touring 4th Street Street, we shared our work over the last year…
From Maypops, Blueberries, Raspberries, and Pear Trees to Peppers, Tomatoes, Carrots, and Eggplants from Rosemary, Dill, Mint, and Oregano to Composting, Rain Barrels, Irrigation, and Murals there is so much to appreciate all on one previously vacant overgrown lot in Weinland Park at the corner of 8th Ave and 4th Street.
Creating community green space brings our neighbors closer together in an area challenged by poverty and crime. We continue to learn how to grow, share, and eat together. Rising to the challenge of revitalization, the work at 4th Street Farms changes the energy from fear to possibility.
